Polyethylene terephthalate (PET)

The material is also resistant and ideally suited for products with a long shelf life. Products made of PET can be produced with a smaller amount of plastic than other materials, making it an excellent environmentally friendly alternative.

Polyethylene terephthalate (PET) has by far the best transparency of the plastics that Tarapac works with, so it is very suitable for products where you really want to be able to see the contents.

High strength

The material has a high strength in terms of its weight, which means that you can produce products with significantly less plastic than other materials and still achieve equal stability and strength. Less material not only means lower prices, but also a reduced load during transport.

Relatively unbreakable

Despite its weight, PET is very resistant and almost unbreakable under normal conditions. It can withstand being frozen, but has its clear limitation when filling hot and should preferably not be filled warmer than 55-60 degrees. PET is the plastic with the best oxygen barrier, so products that require a long shelf life are best suited in a PET container. The plastic is also very good for most chemicals, but this one also has its limitations.
